He embarked on his martial arts journey in 1997, starting with Sikaran, a Filipino martial art. Shortly after, he transitioned into boxing, achieving provincial, national, and Ringside World Champion titles. Jon had the privilege of training and sparring with some of the world's finest fighters. However, a concussion temporarily sidelined him from the sport. During this period of self discovery, he shifted his focus to coaching and in 2019, he founded Quinit Boxing.
Quinit Boxing isn't just an online sensation, boasting over 230k followers, including former world champions Shane Mosley and Andre Berto, among others. Founder Jon has nurtured a stable of amateur and professional fighters. His inaugural pro show on November 24th will feature top prospects Eric Basran, Logan Glouthier, and River Tucker. But Quinit Boxing is more than just boxing; it's a community.
Here, everyone, regardless of status, treats each other with compassion. Fighters readily engage with anyone, and you’ll find plenty of smiles and laughter at their community events, fight nights, and outdoor barbecues. Quinit Boxing has become a staple institution in East Vancouver, continually inspiring its athletes and followers.
